Participatory budgeting in Făgăraș

Participatory budgeting aims to involve the citizens of Făgăraș city in a democratic, open, inclusive, transparent process of deliberation and decision to establish the optimal way to spend part of the local budget. The process involves citizens taking on the role of active participants in defining and addressing the issues of the community to which they belong.

Participatory budgeting is a process through which the ideas and initiatives of the Făgăraş community become reality.

Our partner, the municipality of Făgăraș, prepared this video with interviews to Marius Matei (Fagaras Municipality employee in charge of the process) and Sucaciu Gheorghe (Mayor of Fagaras)
